Our classmate has died too young.  David's warmth, irresistible humor, boundless energy and passion for his family and the community organizations he supported speak volumes.  We last spoke during my annual eye exam in July, when he made me promise to update my profile on this site.  He will be deeply missed and our friendship fondly cherished.

It's a busy world and sometimes events can too easily be passed over.  Maybe, in today's virtual world, a line or two posted within this Class of '64 site could be seen as a flower on a grave.  Rest in peace, David, and thank you for your work.

David was such a sweet and kind person. We went through Colfax and Allderdice together.  We also shared the same birthday, along with my twin brother Jake.  We made David an honorary "triplet".  Now they're both gone.

Be well my classmates.

I was very sorry  to learn of the untimely death of David. I haven't seen him since high school and possibly at the 20 year reunion. I remember him as a very kind young man who always seemed t have a smile for everyone.

My deepest sympathy to his wife, children, grandchildren and many friends. I am sorry for your loss.

Unlike most of the people who have posted, I didn't attend Colfax, and I didn't know Dr. David at Allderdice.  At the 2004 reunion, we got to talking and I learned that he was an optometrist.  I immediately made him my doctor.  I really enjoyed our annual visits. I got to know him better during my bried time on the 2014 Reunion Committee.  I was shocked at his passing and will deeply miss him.

So saddened to hear of David's passing.  I have so many fond memories of him in Allderdice.  He was always smiling and was always positive.  He was so instrumental in keeping the class of "64"  connected.  My sympathy is sent to his entire family and friends.

How sad! David was a good friend during high school and so well liked by all. His smiling  face and good humor lit up the room.  He will be greatly missed at the upcoming reunion.

My daughter Amy Vogel Bararsh O.D. did her intership with David while she was in Pittsburgh several years ago. Her memories of him will be with her always
