I remember Sandra as a wonderful athlete and a natural leader.  I played almost all the "girls intramural sports", not because I was much of an athlete, but I enjoyed playing.  I always admired Sandra for her skill on the field.  If I recall correctly, she was almost always a team captain and I admired her for her fairness and steadiness as a captain.  She is missed.

Sandy was an amazingly talented, brilliant  and multi-faceted woman    I believe that after graduating from Chatham, she became a prominent physical therapist

I didn't know Sandra very well, but I liked her. She was quietly friendly, an excellent athlete, and very pleasant to be around. I am deeply sorry to hear that she has died.

The summer of our 6th grade yr from Colfax, she & I went to Oakland regularly to see the Pirates play. We would ride the bus to Oakland, go to the Carnegie Museum, fool around, eat a 5 cent hot dog in their coffee shop. Then we'd go over to Forbes Field and get in free at the 7th inning.  Imagine two young girls doing that today....

Sandy was bright, intelligent, athletic, caring and a born leader.  We met in Mr Harr's 7th grade History Class and were friends until she passed away in January 2001. As an avid athlete, she played intramurals, outside sports and even was a member of the Professional Women's Football League.  She always wanted to be a Physical Therapist and fulfilled her dream and then went further to become The Director of Rehabilation Services. She was a wonderful person and friend.

I was so sorry to learn of Sandras' death. She was an amazing athlete in school. It was always

a pleasure to watch her play in a sports activity. My sympathy to her family and close friends. RIP

Sandy and I both lived on Hobart Street. I knew her as Sandy Dressler when we were about 11 or 12 years old. She lived in the middle of the block, and she used to walk this German Shepard "seeing eye dog" everyday while I was delivering papers. The dog bit me one day as she walked past. Never forgot that!

Anyway, I used to stop sometimes and play basketball with her after I finished delivering the "Press". Sometimes we played touch football in the park in the winter. She had to have my younger brother on her team. I was very impressed she could play all these sports so well.

We weren't close in high school, but I remember she was still quite the athlete and played all the girl's intramural sports.

My one daughter-in-law is quite the athelete too. She played volleyball at Fairfield University, and as I watched her play, I always wondered what Sandy could have done if Title IX had exsisted in 1964. I think she could have been something very special. I remember her fondly.

I, too, remember Sandy for her athletic ability.  I played field hockey with her.  I was awful, but she was never unkind.

Sandy was remarkable. She excelled in athletics and academics. Friendly, cheerful, and always genuine.
