Michael Brourman

Paul and I were classmates from the day I started Colfax in second grade up through our graduation from TAHS, but I don't believe we ever had a class together. Our major contact came from the fact that he lived on Douglas Street, directly across from Colfax Field, where for years some of us (from our class, other classes and the Yeshiva) had almost daily softball games from Spring to Fall. Paul wasn't a regular, but sometimes would play if we "needed" him. I remember walking across the street to "recruit" him and always being amazed that there were so many little Anoliks. I believe he was one of 5 or 6 brothers along with one sister, Sherry, who was a friend of my sister. 
 
My dad was one of 12 children, so I was familiar with large families, but in our generation 6 or 7 kids was not common in Squirrel Hill. It should have been easy to get Paul and one or more of his brothers, if needed, to join us, but much of the time none did. He struck me as a little shy, but unfailingly polite. Very soft spoken. I saw him around Squirrel Hill a few times after graduation, but our was a nodding relationship  Hopefully, his good friends within our class can provide a lot more substance.
